"I hold any writer sufficiently justified who is himself in love with his theme." -- Henry James
Hey Brad--long time reader, first time caller...ok, that was a lie. But I just love Graham G., and as life goes on, he never loses traction. He's one of the few literary steadies in my reading life. I have a straight barber (!!!...?!...?) in San Francisco, who stretched out his doing of my hair over HOURS (me, with 3 hairs to my name) because he just wanted to talk about Graham Greene with me. It was all very erotic.
ReplyDeleteDear Teacher B., did you ever think to just let the barber blow you and excuse him from his book reports?
