THE EMMET
"The emmet is an ant (archaic),
The ant is just a pest (prosaic).
The modern ant, when trod upon,
Exclaims, 'I'll be a son of a gun!'
Not so its ancestor, the emmet,
Which perished crying 'Zounds!' or 'Demmit!"
