Snaps from "Memory"
Reading from not my usual copy of Capote's A Christmas Memory. Having received notification at the house that our power would be off all morning, I carefully arranged everything for tonight's reading the day before. Except I didn't. Couldn't find my nice, big, slipcased copy from which I read every year, the one with the nice BIG print, and so had to make do with the Modern Library edition, and much squinting.
And for my encore this year, "Another Christmas Carol", from the wonderful P. G. Wodehouse anthology, The World of Mr. Mulliner.
(Thanks to my personal photographer, Adam, for these.)
Cookies, hot cider, and friends made the evening.
